Torc High School

It is with sadness and regret that Torc High School will close completely in the near future due to the decline of student population

This once bustling and dynamic school is now sparsely populated and as a result Staffordshire Education Authority have made the decision to end the existence of Torc (1980-2005)

From September 05 the site will be temporarily linked to Wilnecote High School, a near neighbour, and under its umbrella will see the last of our students pass through Torc's doors

Also from September 05, Tamworth College will be taking on part of the site as a Vocational Learning Centre

Until 2007 Teaching, and Student Welfare, will still be in the hands of the current Headteacher and Staff ~ who's aim it will be to ensure that these students will fulfil their potential before moving on to College, Careers or New Schools
